New Varmint Bullet from Barnes Bullets features solid dry film lubricating. The new Barnes Burner VLC Varmint Bullet is a copper-Jacketed, lead core hollow point coated with a solid dry film lubricant that significantly reduces fouling and improves accuracy. Decreased friction between bullet and bore keeps barrels cooler, even at ultra-high velocities. With Barnes new VLC coated bullets, varmint hunters can fire more high speed rounds before taking a break to allow the barrel to cool because fouling is greatly reduced, less frequent bore cleaning is required. Hardworking barrels remain accurate longer, allowing you to get more shooting done in the course of a day. The new VLC coating is similar to the solid dry film lubricant used on the XLC coated X-Bullet. The high-tech coating is individually applied to each bullet, then heat cured. The result is a permanent coating that won't rub off on your hands like messy film-type lubricant some bullet markers use. Not loaded ammunition.
